Capes not required! Join us to learn about environmental superheroes like John Muir, Rachel Carson, Xiye Bastida, and Sylvia Earle. Through stories and hands-on activities, kids will see how protecting the Earth can start at any age. Designed for children in grades 3–5. Registration not required.
This is a Hillsborough Climate Challenge (HCC) event. HCC is a month-long series of events for all ages occurring at venues all over town with the goal of presenting practical and accessible things people can do in their everyday lives to combat climate change. While the library's family programs are open to all ages, other programs in youth services are designed for a specific age or grade range. Establishing age and grade ranges allows us to plan programs that are appropriate for each range of child development, maintain quality in our programming, and promote fairness to all. Caregivers Remain at the Library
Children will participate in this program independently from their caregivers, however, if a child is under the age of 10 the caregiver will need to remain inside the library for the duration of the program.
