Southwest Native American Stories & Games
Travel to the Southwest to learn about Native American tribes like the Zuni and the Chumash. We’ll start by finding their homes on a map and reading The Princess and the Warrior. Then, kids will make woven plate baskets, decorate and play a fun corn toss game, and discover how these activities connect to the traditions of the Southwest tribes. Perfect for kids in grades K - 5.

Information About Age Ranges

While the library's family programs are open to all ages, other programs in youth services are designed for a specific age or grade range. Establishing age and grade ranges allows us to plan programs that are appropriate for each range of child development, maintain quality in our programming, and promote fairness to all. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us at library@orangecountync.gov.
