Teen Craft Contest: Express Your Creativity!

Calling all teen artists and creators! Join our October Teen Craft Contest and showcase your talents in a variety of categories, including photography, knitting, drawing, painting, digital art, and more. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or just love to create, we want to see your work!

Submit your masterpiece by October 27th for a chance to win exciting prizes and have your art featured in a special exhibition at the library. Open to teens in grades 6-12. Don’t miss this opportunity to express yourself and share your creativity with the community!

Submission details:

You can submit your work in one of two ways:

  1. Digital Submissions: Upload a high-quality image or file of your artwork and email it to Alexis, the Teen Librarian at avreeland@orangecountync.gov. Be sure to include your name, grade, contact information, and a brief description of your work.

  2. Physical Submissions: Drop off your artwork at the front desk in the library. Make sure to attach a completed submission form with your entry. Submission forms are attached. Entries must be no larger 12"x12". Physical submissions will need to be picked up by November 15th.

By submitting, you confirm that the submitted artwork is your own original creation. You also grant the library permission to display the work and use images of it for promotional purposes.

Judging & Display:

All submissions will be carefully reviewed by our Teen Advisory Group, who will select the winners based on creativity, originality, and craftsmanship. Every entry will be proudly displayed in the library from November 1 - 8, giving the entire community a chance to admire your talent!

Information About Age Ranges

While the library's family programs are open to all ages, other programs in youth services are designed for a specific age or grade range. Establishing age and grade ranges allows us to plan programs that are appropriate for each range of child development, maintain quality in our programming, and promote fairness to all. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Beth Hawkey, youth services supervisor.
