Knit or Crochet a Hat for a Child this Fall

Now through December! Give the gift of warmth this fall by knitting or crocheting a hat for Acorn Caps, a local organization which creates and distributes hats, gloves, and more to school children in our community. Use your own supplies or borrow borrow yarn, needles, hooks, and other fibercrafting items from the library while they're available. Hats should be made with children aged 5 and up in mind, but don't stress if that hat you make tends toward the he adult size. A larger hat is something that a younger child can grow into or something that a child with a lot of hair may need. You'll find a pattern attached on this event page.
