Community Art Exhibits at Main:
In September at Main Library in Hillsborough, we are celebrating Artember with a number of displays of community-submitted art. Stop by and see what what you and your neighbors have created! Offerings include:
- Tiny Art Show | From July 25th through August 25th this year, we invited adults & 6th-12th Graders to submit an art piece no larger than 5x7 inches to Main Library using either an art kit we provided or their own supplies. The Tiny Art Show is a display of those amazing submissions. They will be on display upstairs at Main Library throughout September.
- 2025 Nature of Orange Photography Contest Winners | Nature of Orange Photography Contest is an annual contest open to adults and youth sponsored by Orange County Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation in conjunction with the Commission for the Environment and the Parks and Recreation Council. The purpose of the contest is to have photographers of all ages capture the beauty of Orange County through nature. Winning photos from the 2024 Nature of Orange Photography Contest themed, "Flora and Pollinators," will be on display on the top floor of Main Library.
- Community Story Quilt | Over the summer, visitors of all ages contributed their art on 5x5 inch paper squares the were put together as part of a community-made story quilt in honor of the late Faith Ringgold, artist, quilter, and author of the classic children's book, Tar Beach. The quilt will be on display upstairs through September.
