The health care system can be confusing and complicated. This session is designed to empower people with the skills and confidence to navigate today’s complex health information landscape. Whether you are managing chronic conditions, preparing for a medical appointment, or simply seeking to make informed choices about your health, this class will help you become a more active and informed participant in your care. In addition, this session can help caregivers navigate the health care system for those in their care. Attendees will learn how to prepare for medical appointments, navigate the health care and insurance system, find and evaluate medical information on the Internet, and learn about helpful medical mobile apps.
